Great Neapolitan style pizza. I have been to Italy and tasted great Italian Pizza first hand. I spoke with the owner after dinner and these guys have done their homework and gone right to the source for all the wood fire pizza making techniques. The ironic thing was that the thing that drew me in wasn’t the pizza. It was the advertised craft brew menu. The beer turned out to be a bonus on top of great pizza.
What an amazing hidden gem in Wolfville! While first impressions perhaps leave something to be desired as it lacks any particular draw, their food and drink selection is wonderful. First, to the taps. They have an excellent variety of styles and origins of beer, skewed toward more local craft selections. Their food menu is truly where they shine, with a drool-inducing selection of pizzas that makes you want to order the whole menu. Needless to say, your first visit will not be your last as you crave the next item down the list!
Amazing pizza. Woodfired pizza is the best! The owner is very friendly and talkative.
The place is good but the Pizza is so so. You would expect that since they only serve Pizza, it would be amazing but I find those mundane. Another thing is, they won't give you Wi-Fi password. Ehehehe
Solid pizza, good ingredients, great service. The crust is amazing. If you feel like pizza La Torta won’t disappoint.
Very authentic menu with reasonable prices and portion sizes. Great atmosphere and customer service. Tasty food with fresh ingredients.
Food was ok, but WOW the service was really poor. Maybe it was just the night we were there...
Menu is pretty great, good selection and great service. Pretty neat atmosphere
Excellent pizza! Try the Tuscan if you like goat cheese! Owner and staff very friendly and helpful.
What a nice, quaint enjoyable spot in Downtown Wolfville. Out for an afternoon drive, we were in the mood for pizza, and nothing sounded better than woodfired pizza. Upon entering, getting a table and service was very quick, with a nice selection of craft beers and wine available. We were then informed that 2 pizzas were not available, and a whole section of there menu was unavailable, as they no longer made paninis. The pizza and beer both were very tasty, slightly expensive for my taste however. Service was very quick, with no needless interruptions during our meal.I would recommend this place to my friends, but for a nice night out, not for a cheap meal when your out.
Super delicious! I was hungry and I was not disappointed. The Neapolitan style pizza they serve here is not your usual Panago or Domino's stuff! It's really flavorful and mouthwatering, and you should probably order a beer to wash it down!
This spot is a great place to sit down and enjoy some amazing traditional Italian pizza. The environment is very relaxed and to top it off they have a dozen taps of locally crafted NS beer. I was quite surprised at how filling the small pizza was(around a 12") and the taste was incredible. The server(Mike) was excellent and we left very satisfied. Great outdoor patio. The only one complaint, the owner got pretty snippy towards the server in earshot of our table and it was extremely unprofessional. If that's how the owner treats all the employees than this establishment has a limited lifespan.
Food was out of this world. But service was a bit slow - took 40/45 mins for our order.
I just ate the carni trio, it was very good. The waitress was very nice and friendly and seated us immediately. Food came out around 10 mins aftering ordering. I would definitely come back. Overall great experience!
I come in almost weekly, and love the pizza! It's always excellent. Highly recommend the carciofi e pancetta
Visited with my girlfriend and had a nice pizza and ceaser salad, both of which tasted very good. As previously mentioned we where disappointed that the menu had changed drastically. Sandwiches and toppings that are listed no longer exist and updated menu needs to be addressed. Upon paying for our meal I was informed that the credit card was declined although it had gone through with approval, so i paid again, no issues. When i returned home I noticed I was double charged for the meal $50.00. No big deal, upon calling La Torta and speaking with Sam (owner) he assured me he would E-transfer the balance no problem. This went on for 4 weeks, finally with no sense of priority I disputed the transaction. Disappointing when it was the servers fault that it was double paid, then to not rectify was a slap in the face. Good food and great beer, however this hiccup leaves me disheartened as we did enjoy the food but customer service needs a lot of help.
We ordered 2 pizzas. The Tuscan was the best pizza I've ever had. The Con Carne was good. The beer selection was down to nothing after a rough week with storms, but was still great to see NB craft beers in NS!
Awesome
Amazing pizza. Easy 5 star review. Walked in, ordered, 15 mins later amazingness was served to us.
The crust is fabulous! I asked for parmesan cheese instead of mozzarella on my pizza. When the pizza came out, I could not even see the cheese. When I asked the server, he said it was on there. I pointed out that there should be more. He again pointed out that it was on there, I then had to ask for more. The female in the kitchen was very verbal, she clearly stated that she put some on. It was disappointing to know that I would be confronted with this attitude when my only request was to swap cheeses. The pizza was fantastic but I could have done without the drama, if you are unable to swap something then please advise before I pay. I will be happy to pay the extra if requested but please do not complain when I ask exactly what I paid for.
Amazing pizza!!! Atmosphere is pretty bad... feels like a cafeteria, and the graffiti really takes away from the vibe.. Staff was nice and very interesting but they didnt feel very accommodating. No wifi, no spicy oil, no craft beer samples to see if the flavour jived.. The granite ale went great with the pizza in the end and highly recommend the pairing!Would recommend take out as a better option.
Great food, both kids enjoy it as well. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is the service has been so-so.
Stopped in to this gem for some authentic Neapolitan pizza. Although not the best I have ever had, this was still pretty good and reasonably priced. The menu may need to be updated as many items are no longer available or have substitutions. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and will return.
Interesting pizzas with a wood fired grill and nifty pop art up around
Delicious pizzas and a pretty tasty beet and goat cheese salad too.
Fantastic pizza! It can be a long wait if it's busy but it's a worthwhile wait. Not a lot of dessert options but the pizzas are just so scrumptious!
Awesome pizza and beer. 12 Local craft brews on tap, and great Neapolitan style pizza. This isn't a deep dish style pizzeria, this is good quality ingredients, made to taste amazing.
Perfect, authentic pizzas. Simple but thoughtfully crafted menu, quirky comic and tattoo motif decor with a 50's flavour and great service. A quick rainy day shelter became an instant favorite!
Decent pizza though a bit oversold. Neapolitan pizza is something special and when you name your pizza this and slap a price on it that drives the point home you need to deliver. Of the salads we ordered only the caprese was up to par. Service ok but the restaurant itself has the atmosphere of a truck stop. Won't be rushing back here anytime soon.
We have visted a few times and each time our pizza was memorable! The owner is personable and very pleasant to chat with, he really made our first visit one we always talk about. We can't wait to come try the new menu!
The pizzas were excellent but a bit small. If you're hungry you could probably eat 2. The salads were also very good and there local Brewery puts out excellent beer. Things are a bit pricey.
Very tasty, fast service, good beer, reasonably priced when sharing pizza
Food was not bad but I had higher expectations.. Service was very friendly. Patio had too many flies...
Dismal. We thought we would go enjoy the new Mexican menu, unfortunately very few items so far. The waitress brought our appetizer, a tray of chips with salsa & guacamole to share but did not bring us any side plates or napkins, we had to go up and ask for them. The 12 on tap beer / cider stated on the menu is only 1 (Very dark ale). I had red wine, I wish I had a measuring cup as I am sure there was less than 4 oz in my 5 oz serving. I had the chicken tacos which I could not pick up as the shell was falling apart in my hands, soggy and dripping. It was quite bland without the hot sauce. The rice was also very bland. We were not asked how our meal was, nor offered a second drink or dessert. I would not recommend this restaurant. It was a Thursday and not at all busy. There is such a great opportunity that is being missed here.
Very good pizza, quick service and a nice selection of craft beer.
Great thin crust pizza that kids enjoy as well. Highly recommended!
Friendly waitress and loved the Pizza so fresh and delicious!!
Great pizza, friendly staff and a little taste of Italy. Sam McNeil, owner/operator was there adding a personal touch. Craft beer was excellent. I operate pizza restaurant back home, he would put me out of business. Here as a tourist. I will be back again this week . Keep up the great work!
Was here once with a bunch of friends n we loved it! Lots of room to sit. Nice atmosphere and I love the smoky flavour in the pizza.👍 Kinda pricey tho...
It was so good we went back for more the next day. Nice crispy crust. Also a cool atmosphere, and good selection of craft beer. I highly recommend.
Good, fresh pizza, friendly service. They also have a choice of 12 local craft beers, all from the Nova Scotia Propeller Brewing Company. Try the stout, it goes really well with the pizza Diavolo.
Absolutely fantastic pizza. Enjoyed every bite. So glad we visited this restaurant when we were in town.
Great pizza & great service!
True Neapolitan style. A correct oven. Nice semi chared crust. A knife and fork interior. And simple but high quality ingredients. Also a good tap selection of beers and cider.
The pizza is soooo good. Everyone will love it. My 2nd time there. Would go back again for sure!
Amazing pizza, great atmosphere and great staff.
Good food just wished they had not run out of so many things.
Fantastic food, great service! Met the owner... Super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're near Wolfville.
Great pizza...the best that I have had in the Valley. I love the atmosphere.
Excelent, just like the original Napolitanas! Love this place
